13-YEAR-OLD PRODIGY GETS ACCEPTED INTO MOREHOUSE AND MORE THAN 20 OTHER COLLEGES

13-year-old Joshua Suddith is making history, having been accepted into Morehouse College along with more than 20 other prestigious institutions of higher learning.
Suddith’s academic journey has been extraordinary from the start. By the age of three, he had already written his first book. In middle school, he skipped from seventh grade directly to the 11th grade, fast-tracking his education and proving his dedication to academic excellence.
His motivation to excel was further fueled at the age of four when he learned that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was accepted into Morehouse College at 15. Determined to break that record, Suddith has now done just that.
According to this mother Chaundra, despite pregnancy complications and an in-utero surgery, she always knew that her son was destined for greatness. She commented in a recent interview with 11 Alive that Suddith entered the world with a fierce determination. She also commented that the young prodigy could speak by the age of 9 months and learned to read before he turned two-years-old.
“His grit and resilience speaks for itself,” Chuandra said. “He didn’t let any challenges get in the way of his dream.”

The Hills Academy student, which is located in Conyers, GA, has some serious decisions ahead of him. In addition to already being accepted into Morehouse College, he has also been accepted into 20 other colleges including Miles College and Tennessee State University.
Suddith is currently enrolled at Augusta Technical College, where he has earned 27 credit hours and a boasts a 3.88 GPA.
In a recent personal statement, the young prodigy shared what fuels his dedication to learning. “I am driven by a passion for learning and making a positive impact in the world,” Suddith said. “Whether it’s excelling in academics or inspiring others, I am committed to growing and improving.”
While he is still awaiting decisions from Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, and Georgia Tech, Morehouse remains his top choice.
