Louis Tomlinson and Zara McDermott romance: One Direction singer, Love Island star confirm relationship with couple photo
One Instagram selfie has given millions of fans the confirmation they have been waiting months for.
Former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson and Love Island UK alum Zara McDermott have been romantically linked since March this year.
In the months since, fan speculation about a relationship between the two has grown stronger, fuelled by their recent public outings – including a recent trip to Glastonbury – and several subtle hints on Instagram.

But, despite the speculation, the pair haven’t directly acknowledged their relationship – until now.
They settled the relationship rumours in a very simple but direct way with one single photo.
McDermott, 28, posted a selfie of herself and Tomlinson sharing a very passionate kiss.
In the photo Tomlinson wears a bright yellow shirt and shades while McDermott appears to wear a red bikini and a white sundress.

McDermott holds Tomlinson’s face lovingly as he takes the sweet snap.
The reality star tagged Tomlinson in the photo and simply captioned it with a red heart emoji.
Within just three hours, the post has already clocked up almost 200,000 likes with thousands of fans sharing their excitement of the couple’s hard launch in the comment section.
“soooooo here for this,” wrote actor Ellie Leach.

“This is the cutest post ever!” one fan wrote.
“I’m so happy that my boyfriend has a girlfriend,” joked another fan.
Tomlinson is yet to share the selfie to his own Instagram account which boasts almost 20 million followers.
But just last month, the star posted a photo to Instagram which all but confirmed their relationship.

McDermott featured alongside Tomlinson in a group photo taken during the couple’s time at Glastonbury.
Rumours of the couple’s relationship first sparked when eagle-eyed fans on Reddit noticed that the pair had followed each other on Instagram.
This was fuelled further when fans found out McDermott and Tomlinson’s sisters followed each other too.
What the former members of One Direction are up to now
The couple were first spotted together in photos taken by The Sun in March this year.
Then in April, McDermott gave fans a subtle hint by posting a breakfast snap to her Instagram story which appeared to feature Tomlinson’s arm – only identifiable by the star’s recognisable cross tattoo.

Tomlinson also sent fans into a frenzy when he shared a comment on an Instagram post of McDermott’s back in March in which she spoke about her career as a documentarian.
Tomlinson simply wrote, “Proud of you x”, in a sweet comment that captured the attention of thousands of fans.
The pair have also been spotted at a Stereophonics concert together and at this year’s star-studded Glastonbury festival.
