Ice Spice Jokes About “Bought Views” After Fans Accuse Her of Bot Activity

Ice Spice has an explanation for the suspicious views on her latest music video, “Baddie Baddie.”
The Bronx-born rapper dropped her new visual on Wednesday and quickly racked up almost 7 million views within 24 hours, sparking online chatter that the numbers weren’t entirely organic. Several screenshots circulating online show the visual having just 79,000 views after five hours before ballooning to the millions hours later.
Skeptics took to social media, questioning how the video could gain traction so fast, especially at a time when Ice Spice’s buzz seems to have died down a bit compared to her 2021 emergence. Rather than ignore the hate, Ice Spice addressed it head-on with a post that set the record straight.
“Somebody thought they ate buying views for me… bby it’s chess, not checkers,” she wrote on Twitter.
The comment immediately went viral, with many debating if the views were really purchased by an unknown gifter or if Ice Spice was merely trolling. Nevertheless, the numbers continue to rise on “Baddie Baddie.”
Her team has not commented on the situation.
