Candace Owens Says She’s Lost Faith in Politics and Trump

Candace Owens just took her theories on Charlie Kirk’s assassination to a whole new level, one that directly calls out her former political ally, Donald Trump.

In a video posted Wednesday, Owens didn’t hold back. She accused Trump and people in his administration of turning their backs on Kirk and possibly being responsible for his death. “He gave so much of his life to Trump and to politics, and they were just like NOPE. That’s it,” she said.

She didn’t stop there. Referring to the new national holiday honoring Kirk, Owens added, “As soon as they give you a holiday, they definitely killed you. There’s no question—they killed you.”

Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed on September 10th while speaking at a campus event in Utah. A 22-year-old man named Tyler Robinson was charged, but Owens believes there’s more to the story than what’s on paper.

A week after his death, the Senate passed a resolution to make October 14th “Charlie Kirk Day,” led by Senator Rick Scott. Kirk’s widow, Erika, also accepted a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom from Trump at the White House.

But Owens feels completely shut out. She wasn’t invited to speak at Kirk’s massive Arizona memorial, didn’t join his podcast’s revival, and has been left off the speaking tour in his honor. She’s suggested it’s all because she’s been critical of U.S. support for Israel, a stance she claims Kirk was beginning to share before his death.

She’s now painting a picture of betrayal and silence within conservative circles, and she’s not holding back on who she thinks is responsible.
