Melissa Gorga Acknowledges Her Part In Giudice/Gorga Feud

Melissa Gorga says she’s ready to turn the page with her sister-in-law and longtime Real Housewives of New Jersey costar, Teresa Giudice — but this time, she wants to do it away from the cameras.
While promoting her upcoming appearance on Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition, Gorga told Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” that if reconciliation happens, she hopes it unfolds privately. “We’ll see how it goes,” she said. “We haven’t ever had a chance to have anything private … so I’m going to keep this part private for right now.”
Gorga explained that after more than a decade of on-screen family drama, she wants any progress between her and Giudice to “be authentic and real,” adding, “We’ve never had that chance.”
Her comments follow Giudice’s own statement to “Virtual Reali-Tea” that she was open to making peace with her brother, Joe Gorga, and his wife. Joe also recently confirmed on The Eds podcast that he and Teresa had started communicating again by text.
Tensions between the families have been a central storyline on RHONJ for years, reaching a breaking point by the end of Season 14. The conflict contributed to the show’s current hiatus as producers decide how to move forward.
Reflecting on that dynamic, Gorga said the division was never her intention. “This was never a line that I was drawing in the sand,” she explained. “The truth is, I’m always going to be Team Family. There’s no way I would ever not want that for Joe.”
Still, Gorga admitted that reconnecting after so many public battles feels strange. “I thought that I could never get there … I don’t know how any of this is happening,” she said. “But it happens.”
Melissa says real progress requires everyone involved to “take accountability,” herself included. “At some point, we’ve all said things out of anger,” she admits. “We’ll see what happens.”
Whether or not a future reconciliation might play out on camera remains uncertain. Gorga noted that such decisions are up to Bravo, not her, and emphasized that her focus isn’t on television. “I’m doing this for a more important reason,” she said. “I would be willing to move on and try things, but to show my children that this is no way to live. This isn’t normal.”
Gorga, who shares three children — Antonia, 20, Gino, 18, and Joey, 15 — with Joe, said she hopes her kids can one day have a closer relationship with Giudice’s daughters: Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana. “This has to get fixed,” she said. “God forbid something ever happens. Everybody needs to be able to speak to one another.”
Gorga also recognized that rebuilding trust will require honesty and reflection from everyone involved — including herself. “At some point, we’ve all said things out of anger,” she admitted. “We’ll see what happens.”
