Hugh Jackman shares a rare comment on his family with Deborra-lee Furness following their split after almost 30 years of marriage
Hugh Jackman has made a rare comment about his family and kids with ex-wife Deborra-lee Furness.
Jackman, 57, and the Australian actress, 69, reportedly finalised their shock divorce earlier this year, after having been married for almost thirty years.
Now, the Wolverine star, who is dating American actress Sutton Foster, 50, has revealed whether he thinks his and Furness’ adopted children, Oscar Maximilian, 25, and Ava Eliot, 20, will ever become actors like them.

Speaking to E! News, the actor said: ”They’d both be very good, but I don’t know.”
“I just want them to do what they love.”
Jackman made the comments at the world premiere of the film Song Sung Blue, where he and Foster made their first red carpet appearance as a couple.
The pair, who have known one another for years through musical theatre and were co-stars in Broadway’s The Music Man, wore complementary black outfits at the event on Sunday.

Jackman, 57, and Foster, 50, have not directly confirmed their romance, and generally keep out of the spotlight.
However, after plenty of speculation over the nature of their relationship, they were photographed holding hands and later kissing in January.
Jackman and Furness were married for almost 30 years after first tying the knot back in Victoria back in April 1996.
Earlier this year, after filing for divorce, Furness shared a powerful statement, saying she “remains grateful,” but has been navigating “the traumatic journey of betrayal”.
In a statement shared with Nine, she said, “My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal.
“It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.”

She went on to talk about the end of her marriage, which saw the pair live in New York and adopt two children together.
“This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience.
“Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.”
She went on to say she has found “liberation and freedom” post-split and is “grateful” for her life path.
Furness filed for divorce from Jackman in May, almost two years after they announced their split in September 2023.
At the time, the pair shared a statement with People that read in part: ”We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”
They added that their “family has been and always will be our highest priority”.
