People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive winner 2025: Jonathan Bailey makes history as he takes out the title
Bridgerton star Jonathan Bailey has been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive for 2025!
The 37-year-old English actor took out the title, after Hollywood star John Krasinski won last year.
Speaking to People in the accompanying cover story, Bailey said, “It’s a huge honour. Obviously I’m incredibly flattered. And it’s completely absurd.”

The star has made history with the win, being the first openly gay man to received the annual title.
He also reflected on his career success when sharing the best advice he’d give to his younger self.
“You’re not going to believe where you’re going to end up. It’s all going to be fine.”

Other stars who have been named People’s Sexiest Man Alive over the years include the likes of Patrick Dempsey (who nabbed the title in 2023), Chris Evans, David Beckham, Chris Hemsworth, Johnny Depp and George Clooney.
Bailey, who hails from Wallingford in the UK, is known for roles including Lord Anthony Bridgerton in Bridgerton, Henry Loomis in Jurassic World: Rebirth, and Fiyero in Wicked and Wicked For Good.

Despite having been an actor for years, it was Bridgerton that really helped put him on the map and help him rise to international fame.
He made headlines just a week ago when he sent some surprise flowers to Aussie Wildlife Warrior Robert Irwin in a supportive gesture for his time on the US show, Dancing With The Stars.
“Those are beautiful, who are these from?” Irwin said.
Irwin then opened the card and his jaw dropped to the floor when he discovered it was from the actor.
Irwin was performing a routine to Wicked’s Dancing Through Life on the hit show.
Bailey performs the same song in the Wicked movie as Fiyero alongside Ariana Grande’s Glinda.
“You are the shiz Robert. You’ve done all the Fiyero’s proud. Cheering you on from afar. Big love J.B.” Bailey wrote in the card.
One of Bailey’s latest films is Jurassic World: Rebirth, which came out in July and also stars Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson.
