Deputy Secretary Campbell’s Meeting with Republic of Korea (ROK) First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Hong Kyun

Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell met today with ROK First Vice Foreign Minister Kim Hong Kyun in Washington. Deputy Secretary Campbell noted strong U.S. support for the ROK, its citizens, and its democracy. Deputy Secretary Campbell underscored that the U.S. commitment to the U.S.-ROK Alliance is ironclad. He further stressed the tremendous progress in recent years in the bilateral relationship, adding that the United States looks forward to working with Acting President Han on the full range of our shared interests.
