Ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers rocker Dave Navarro marries Vanessa DuBasso in untraditional ceremony in a Scottish castle
Rock legend Dave Navarro has tied the knot with his partner of eight years, actress and fashion designer, Vanessa DuBasso.
The pair were married on March 29 at Dunskey Estate, a Scottish castle surrounded by woodlands and a lake.
“We wanted our wedding to feel like a dream. It was important to us to find a place that felt unlike anywhere we had ever been, a place that embraced nature and transported us to another world. We wanted our loved ones to share in this intimate experience,” Navarro told People.

The couple strayed from a tradition, with their wedding having an overarching gothic theme.
DuBasso wore a white corseted gown with a pair of white wings and a black ribbon around her bouquet, while Navarro wore an all black tux and hat.
The bride told People that she chose to wear the wings because Navarro calls her “his breathing cherub”.

The pair first met eight years ago, after the former Red Hot Chili Peppers member saw DuBasso in a movie trailer, falling in love at first sight.
He then decided to reach out to the movie’s director and asked if DuBasso would be interested in a date with him, luckily she said yes.

Navarro reportedly had a grand proposal planned, however once he had the ring he couldn’t contain the excitement, popping the question in the couple’s kitchen one morning around 3AM.
DuBasso shared news of the proposal with an Instagram post showing off the ring and a caption simply reading fiancé.

“Dave saved me from myself,” DuBasso told People.
“I love who I am now because he’s shown me who I can be and what I’m capable of.
“He’s kissed all my scars and I don’t know if either of us would be alive today if it weren’t for each other.”
