GOP candidates win both Florida elections, overcoming vast fundraising deficits

Republican state Sen. Randy Fine won Tuesday’s special election in Florida’s 6th Congressional District to fill the seat that Michael Waltz vacated to serve as President Trump’s national security adviser. And Jimmy Patronis, the state’s chief financial officer, got the better of Democrat Gay Valimont, a gun control activist, in the 1st Congressional District on the Florida Panhandle.
