Jon Bon Jovi on becoming a grandfather as Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bon Jovi adopt baby


Jon Bon Jovi is excited to be a grandad!

The rock star broke his silence on his son Jake Bongiovi, 23 and his wife Millie Bobby Brown, 21, adopting a baby in an interview with podcaster Bunnie XO.

“It’s crazy, but great. Wonderful,” he said.

“They adopted a girl, we met the baby obviously and immediately that becomes your grandchild, you know what I mean?”

The Bon Jovi frontman said since the adoption of his grandchild, he has been asking for constant updates.

”It’s beautiful. I want to see pictures, like, every other day,” he added.

“I’m that pain in the butt guy already and, yeah, it’s cool.”

He also addressed the couple getting married and starting a family so young – Jake was 22 and Stranger Things actress Brown was 20 when they wed last year.

Bon Jovi said he and wife Dorothea Hurley supported the union.

“They got married really young, but we blessed it because we get it, you know?” he said.

“They’re sorta mature beyond their years. She comes from a family where her parents are still together and they married very young.”

“Her and Jake fell in love and we just thought, ‘OK, we’ll support this,'” he recalled.

“And it’s working out.”

He also gushed about his daughter-in-law’s work ethic.

“She’s a sweetheart and she’s a hard worker, I tell her all the time how much I admire her, because her work ethic is unbelievable,” he said.

The young couple married in September last year after a three-year relationship.

Just a few weeks before their wedding anniversary, Bongiovi and Brown revealed they had adopted a baby girl in a joint Instagram post.

“This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption,” the post read.

“We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.”

They were wed in an intimate ceremony in May 2024, before having a more extravagant wedding at Villa Cetinale in Italy, in September.
