Melania Trump Threatens $1 Billion Lawsuit Against Hunter Biden
Melania Trump is ready to take Hunter Biden to court.
The First Lady’s attorney, Felipe J. Brito, sent Biden a cease-and-desist letter demanding he retract and apologize for statements he made in a video linking her to Jeffrey Epstein. The claims originated from journalist Michael Wolff and were published by The Daily Beast in an article that Melania’s legal team says was “false and defamatory.”
The Daily Beast has since deleted the article entirely and issued an apology to Mrs. Trump. But according to Brito, Biden still repeated Wolff’s allegations in his video — something they argue was done with “actual malice” to draw attention to himself.
In the letter, Brito accused Biden of relying on a “serial fabulist” for his claims and warned that he had “no viable defense” for the damage caused to Melania’s reputation. The First Lady’s team gave Biden until August 7, 2025, to comply by removing the video, retracting the statements, and issuing a public apology.
He missed the deadline.
A source told Fox News Digital that instead of responding to the demands, Biden’s team leaked the letter to a “friendly reporter,” suggesting they are worried about the potential fallout.
Melania’s lawyers say they’re prepared to file a lawsuit seeking more than $1 billion in damages if Biden doesn’t comply. The dispute comes after The Daily Beast pulled Wolff’s story, which claimed Melania met Donald Trump through a modeling agent tied to Epstein — a claim her lawyers strongly deny.
With neither side backing down, this could be the start of a high-profile legal showdown between the First Lady and the President’s political rival’s son.
