New Jersey Woman Used Tinder to Orchestrate Murder-for-Hire Against Ex and Teen Daughter

A New Jersey woman is accused of trying to hire a hitman she met on Tinder to murder her ex-boyfriend, a 57-year-old Philadelphia police officer, and his 19-year-old daughter.

According to a Camden County criminal complaint obtained by CNN, Jaclyn Diiorio matched with a confidential informant on the dating app and later met with them in person after a series of phone calls and texts. “She allegedly shared with the informant that she wanted to have her ex-boyfriend…and his daughter killed,” the affidavit states.

The 26-year-old offered the informant $12,000 for the murders, authorities say. She was arrested last week in Gloucester Township after handing over $500 in cash. Prosecutors noted, “Diiorio had tried to arrange for the father and daughter to be killed on another occasion.”

At the time of her arrest, Diiorio was also found with a bottle of pills believed to be alprazolam, a controlled substance, with the label peeled off.

The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed she faces two counts of first-degree attempted murder, one count of first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, and one count of third-degree drug possession.

During a Friday hearing, Judge Yolanda Rodriguez denied bail, ordering Diiorio to remain in custody until her next court appearance on June 11th. CNN has reached out to her attorney for comment.
