The woman explained that she delivered to a clinic, but later found herself restricted from working when an employee reported they never got their food. She claims the accusation was false and has now cost her valuable income while she’s preparing for her baby.
Many drivers on gig platforms like DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub have shared similar frustrations, saying that one false claim from a customer can jeopardize their ability to earn a living. These complaints often leave drivers feeling vulnerable, especially since platforms frequently side with customers to preserve their satisfaction.
For this driver, the situation feels especially unfair. She’s still trying to support herself while pregnant, and now she’s left without one of her main sources of income.
