But this wasn’t just about a vacation or a photoshoot. For the DeVoes, it was a deeply meaningful celebration of “culture”, “legacy”, and “Black excellence”.

“In the heart of Beijing, surrounded by ancient empires, we stood where emperors once walked, not just dressed in history, but wrapped in legacy,” the couple wrote in the caption of their post, which was liked by over 20,000 users .

“We are Black excellence draped in Qing Dynasty silk, proving that wherever we go, our lineage walks with us,” they added.

The New Edition icon and the former Blaque singer called the trip “a moment for our sons to see themselves as royalty and a reminder that our roots run deeper than borders.”

After some fans questioned whether the images were AI-generated, the DeVoes shut down the speculation in a follow-up post.

“Some thought our photos were AI, but… a Black family really can fly to China and immerse themselves in the tradition, really can walk through the Forbidden City, really can honor history in Qing Dynasty silk, and really can capture memories that last forever. Now, let’s really watch the beauty behind the moment.”

They closed the message by saying, “This was more than a photoshoot, it was a dream fullfilled of love, legacy, and culture.”

And they’re not the only celeb parents raising globetrotters.

Phaedra Parks also gave fans a glimpse into her own family adventure, sharing a photo with her sons in Hong Kong.

The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum posed with her boys in front of the iconic Tian Tan Buddha and wrote, “Raising royalty and running the world, one first class stop at a time. From #HongKong with love,” she wrote.
