Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr. attend I Know What You Did Last Summer premiere
History is repeating itself with the premiere of I Know What You Did Last Summer – this time in 2025.
The stars turned out for the reboot of the 1997 slasher franchise, including original stars and married couple Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.
Gellar, 48, and Prinze, 49, were glowing as they posed in front of the poster, which portrayed the hook-wielding villain the franchise is known for.

Gellar wore a stunning grey and orange minidress mimicking open butterfly wings with a hint of colour with her orange heels and purse, while Prinze wore a crisp navy suit.
The actor is reprising his role in the franchise alongside actress Jennifer Love-Hewitt.
The film takes place 27 years after the original Tower Bay murders, when the killer begins to target a group of friends after they covered up a car accident where they supposedly killed someone.

This film follows the release of the original 1997 film, it’s sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (1998), a direct-to-video standalone sequel I’ll Always Know What You Did Last Summer (2006), and the 2021 TV show I Know What You Did Last Summer.
Rounding out the ensemble cast is Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers, Sarah Pidgeon, Billy Campbell, Gabbriette Bechtel and Austin Nichols.
Love-Hewitt wore an edgy black chain-mail dress while Cline opted for a pink ruched gown.
Pidgeon looked stunning in a beige minidress and her hair blown out, while Withers ore a grey skirt and pants with his multi-toned sweater.

Though Gellar chose not to reprise her role, she did accompany her husband as he an the cast spent time shooting in New South Wales last year.
The couple and their children, Charlotte born in 2009, and Rocky born in 2012, called Australia home for a few months while the cast filmed scenes.
They visited the zoo, Sydney Opera House and even climbed the Harbour Bridge before eating their way through the harbour city, documenting their adventures on social media.

Gellar spoke to 9honey about motherhood, with the Buffy star gushing, “It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. It’s the most rewarding, most loving. I mean – the scariest – but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
When we cheekily asked Gellar if her children know just “how cool their parents are”, she laughed.
“Not according to them, no,” she says, before excitedly revealing they recently joined their parents for their first trip to Australia last year.

Hollywood star plays tourist in Sydney
Gellar and Prinze first met on the set of the 1997 film and started dating in 2000. They got engaged in 2001 and married in 2002, sharing 22 years of marital bliss.
