Sex and The City star Kim Cattrall’s cryptic eight-word post raises eyebrows as And Just Like That… spin-off ends
Sex and The City fans and fans of its spin-off And Just Like That… were left shocked when it was announced that it would be coming to an end after just three seasons.
And now Kim Cattrall has seemingly spoken out after the news, with many fans believing it was a reference to And Just Like That… getting axed.
The star, 68, who played Samantha Jones in Sex and The City, shared a rather cryptic post, after not having appeared in the spin-off, besides from making a brief cameo appearance in the show in season two.

Her character Samantha was also referenced in season three of the show via a text message exchange between the character and Sarah Jessica Parker’s character Carrie Bradshaw.
“It’s the end of a very long week ❤️💋,” Cattrall captioned her post.
“This reboot was awful without you as Samantha!!! It’s (sic) was a disaster,” one follower wrote underneath.

“I’m having a drink for you Samantha 🍸,” another added.
Another remarked: “Kim, we need a fabulous new series just for you. Real ones knew 😍.”
Two days ago, a statement was released from showrunner, writer and director Michael Patrick King, which revealed the series was coming to an end after three seasons.
“And just like that… the ongoing storytelling of the Sex And The City universe is coming to an end,” he said in the statement.
“While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That... season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop.”

“…It’s with great gratitude we thank all the viewers who have let these characters into their homes and their hearts over these many years,” he added in part of the statement.

Sarah Jessica Parker added in a moving post: “Carrie Bradshaw has dominated my professional heartbeat for 27 years. I think I have loved her most of all.”
