Aussie rocker Shannon Noll has come a long way since his days on Australian Idol.

The musician, 49, known for songs including What About Me, Loud, and We Only Live Once, is delving into the world of business and now has his own rum brand.

Noll is a partner in The Great Australian Rum Co., and the brand is celebrating the release of a new rum called the King Brown.

“Every barrel is hand-selected, every finish meticulously crafted. This isn’t just rum – it’s a reimagining of the category,” he’s said in a statement.

Other stars who have launched alcohol brands in recent years include the likes of Outlander’s Sam Heughan, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and model Kendall Jenner.

Noll also has a white rum and a spiced rum available for fans.

It comes months after it was revealed that the Aussie singer is set to become a grandfather for the first time.

The former Australian Idol star, 49, who placed runner-up to Guy Sebastian on the show in 2003, will become a grandfather, with his son Cody Noll, 24, expecting a baby with his partner, Jess.

The young couple shared the joyous news on Instagram, sharing a snap of Cody kissing Jess’ baby bump and writing: “Baby Noll <3.”

In a previous chat with 9honey Celebrity two years ago, Nollsie reflected on it being 20 years since he appeared on Australian Idol and his life changed forever.

“It doesn’t feel that long ago, but time flies, they say!” he said at the time.
