The conversation touched on the emotional journey of letting go of past tension and embracing family. Teresa explained that her experience filming Special Forces and encouragement from Gia helped her take the first steps toward reconciliation. “Yeah, I just, you know, baby steps. And what, you know, made me do this is that, you know, started with Special Forces being away with Gia and then Gia wanted me to let go of the past with her dad. And when I was thinking about that, then I started thinking about my brother and and and then there’s incident that has happened, you know, the past few years or whatever,” she said.

A particularly touching moment came when Teresa’s youngest daughter, Audriana, ran into her cousin, Joey Gorga, at a party. “Like, for instance, like Audriana, one of these, one of the incidents like Audriana saw little Joey at a party and when they saw each other, they got teary eyed. And I think they hugged and it was so sweet. And then Joey told Audriana he wanted to send Gia a message, which that, you know, so like touched my heart,” Teresa shared.

Reflecting on the importance of family, Teresa added, “First of all, whatever happens with the parents shouldn’t affect the kids. And like, for instance, it didn’t with my ex’s family. Like they always were in contact with, you know, yeah.”

Gia also weighed in on the conversation, noting the respect that has always guided their family relationships. “And I think it was, you know, even though my parents got divorced, it just never got that way. And it’s because again, you know, because of the respect,” she said.
