The Life of a Showgirl: Taylor Swift and Baby Spice gush over each other’s music in radio interview
Taylor Swift has praised Spice Girl Emma Bunton in a radio interview to promote her new album The Life of a Showgirl.
The pop powerhouse sat side-by-side in the Heart Breakfast show, hosted by Jamie Theakston and Baby Spice herself, Emma Bunton.
Swift and Bunton gushed over each other, with Swift telling Bunton The Spice Girls were the first artists she was truly obsessed with.
“It’s so crazy to actually get to be in the same room with you because I was telling you I used to I had your doll, the Baby Spice doll, and I it was like my favourite one,” Swift said to Bunton.
“We would all fight over who got to be you, like amongst the girls that were blonde.
“Honestly, like you just mean the world to me you were the first person I freaked out over.”
Bunton appeared shocked and flattered by the comments, adding: “I’m really going red now, I don’t know how to take this all in.”

“Obviously, we are huge fans of yours my family, me. I mean, it’s just been incredible for you,” Bunton said.
“I must admit I came to your tour twice.”
Swift then said she knew Bunton was attending the show at the revelation “blew her away.”
The Life of a Showgirl singer also discussed her engagement ring and expressed how well her fiancé, Travis Kelce, knows her.

“Am I right in saying Travis designed the ring?” Theakston asked.
“He did, and he was just paying attention to everything, it turns out,” Swift replied.
“When I saw the ring, I was like, I know who made that… and you really listen to me, you really know me.
“I didn’t know what I would want, but he did somehow.”
Her ring was designed by New York jeweller Kindred Lubeck, from Artifex Fine Jewellery.
When she was asked about her wedding and hen’s night plans, she confessed she hadn’t even thought about it.
“You would think that I had been the type of person who would have obsessed over the idea of a wedding my whole life, but I actually never thought about what I would ever do or what I would want until I met the person.
Swift made a few appearances on the day of her album launch, including on Graham Norton, where she confirmed the engagement had happened after the filming of her episode of the New Heights podcast, which her fiancé co-hosts with his brother.
“He really crushed it when it came to surprising me,” she said.
“He has a podcast called New Heights, so we filmed the podcast for about 3 or 4 hours or whatever.
“Meanwhile, behind his house, he was having the whole back garden turned into this.
“And one of the things that he put in there very strategically was a wall of hedges that weren’t there before.
“Inside the hedges was my tour photographer hiding in bushes that had not previously been there… He went all out. 10 out of 10.”
