Warehouses are backing up. Customers report weeks of waiting, confusing tracking updates, and sudden notices that items were destroyed. People say everything from clothing to electronics to sentimental gifts never made it home.

UPS says it contacts senders several times to fix missing information. If the data does not arrive, the company says it must either return the package or dispose of it under customs rules. Shoppers and small businesses are frustrated, and some are switching carriers.

For now, double check every invoice and description before shipping to the United States. Make sure the sender includes complete details, accurate values, and product specifics. That can reduce the chance of a hold or disposal.
