Linda Nolan death: The Nolans singer dies at 65 as heartbroken sister Coleen Nolan pays tribute
Linda Nolan has died at the age of 65.
The singer who, along with her sisters Coleen, Maureen, Bernie, Denise, and Anne, belonged to the Irish family group The Nolans, passed away at the age of 65.
Coleen Nolan is mourning the loss of her sister, describing her as a “beacon of love, kindness, and strength.”

Linda had been battling breast cancer since her diagnosis in 2005, having been told she was in remission in 2011.
By 2017, the cancer returned as secondary breast cancer, which continued to spread until it reached her brain in 2023.
Coleen took to Instagram and wrote, “I am utterly devastated by the passing of my sister, Linda. Linda was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength. Her wit, humour, and laughter were infectious, and her presence could light up any room.”

“Linda had a heart full of compassion and always knew how to bring comfort and joy to those around her.
“Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched, and while we will miss her more than words can express, we take solace in the love and warmth she shared with all of us. Rest in peace, Linda.
Coleen concluded: “You will forever be in our hearts.”
Linda was part of an Irish family girl group that became prominent in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The family relocated to Blackpool, England, in 1962. They performed under the name The Singing Nolans before becoming The Nolan Sisters in 1974 and later just The Nolans in 1980.
They gained fame with their hit songs I’m in the Mood for Dancing, Gotta Pull Myself Together, and Don’t Make Waves.
The official X account for The Nolans also released a statement to honour their late sister: “It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of beloved Linda Nolan.

“She faced incurable cancer with courage, grace & determination, inspiring millions.
The post concluded: “Surrounded by family, she passed peacefully. A pop icon and beacon of hope, Linda will never be forgotten ❤️”
The Nolans’ manager Dermot McNamara said it was “with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Nolan”.
He added in a statement: “Over the weekend, Linda was taken by ambulance to Blackpool Victoria Hospital and admitted with double pneumonia.
“In the early hours of Tuesday morning, she went into a coma and into end-of-life care, surrounded by her devoted family.
“At around 10.20am on Wednesday, she passed peacefully, with her loving siblings by her bedside, ensuring she was embraced with love and comfort during her final moments, aged 65.
“Linda’s legacy extends beyond her incredible achievements in music and entertainment. She was a beacon of hope and resilience, sharing her journey to raise awareness and inspire others.”
