Dr. Wendy Osefo and Husband Eddie Speak Out After Fraud Charges

Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Eddie, are speaking out following their surprising fraud arrests.

According to court documents, the “Real Housewives of Potomac” couple was indicted on counts of insurance fraud, conspiracy, and making false statements to police. The charges stem from a reported home burglary in April 2024, during which the Osefos claimed luxury bags and jewelry worth $450,000 were stolen. Investigators allege that some of the items were later found to have been returned for refunds and that Wendy was spotted wearing one of the “stolen” rings online.

The couple was booked in Westminster, Maryland, with bail set at $50,000 before being released.

A representative for the pair told Us Weekly, “Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits. They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans, and colleagues.”

The statement added, “The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.”

Wendy, who joined “RHOP” in 2020, is known for her strong academic background and often reminds fans that she holds four degrees.
