Here’s Why F1 Fans Should Never Miss Lone Star Le Mans

The USGP may still be months away, but you can get a little taste of F1 action at the Lone Star Le Mans. I attended in 2024 and I’m here to tell you, this is the perfect event to tide you over until it’s USGP time.
Here’s Everything You Need To Know About Lone Star Le Mans
Lone Star Le Mans returns to Circuit of The Americas on September 5 through 7, 2025. The six hour-long endurance world championship brings the spirit of the historic 24 Hours of Le Mans back to Texas. This is the sixth and only North American race in the official World Endurance Championship season
The event features top-tier Hypercar and LMGT3 entries, including major manufacturers like Toyota, Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Cadillac, Aston Martin and Mercedes‑AMG.

All tickets are general admission, with access to permanent grandstands. Children 12 & under are FREE with an accompanying adult.
What To Expect in 2025
Based on the 2024 schedule, here’s what you can expect again this year:
- Friday – Two practice sessions
- Saturday – Final practice in the morning, followed by LMGT3 and Hypercar qualifying and Hyperpole sessions in the mid‑afternoon
- Sunday – Main six‑hour race beginning at about 1pm
In addition to the race, there’s also a fan zone with events like live music, line dancing lessons, a mechanical bull, face painting and much more! The family friendly area is open all day Saturday and Sunday.

One of the coolest things about this event is that there’s an open paddock. This means guests can wander around outside the tents and garages the teams use to prep their cars. Make your race day even more memorable with autographs from your favorite drivers as autograph sessions are open to all attendees. All guests also have the opportunity on Friday to walk along pit lane and on Saturday to walk down the starting grid.
F1 Drivers Taking Part
The 2024 line-up included a handful of past F1 drivers including: Jenson Button, Nyck de Vries and Mick Schumacher. Drivers who participated in the 24 hours of Le Mans earlier this summer include all three previously mentioned as well as Kevin Magnussen, Kamui Kobayashi, Antonio Giovinnazi and others. See the full list here. Fingers crossed we’ll see many of them at the Lone Star Le Mans as well.

3-Day General Admission grounds tickets are on sale now for $89.50 (fees included).
