Millions of iPhone owners can still use Siri with ChatGPT, even without Apple’s official integration. Here’s how to use ChatGPT on your older iPhone.

Using the ChatGPT app with Siri

Apple built Apple Intelligence into iOS 18, but it only runs on high-end devices like the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 16 models. That left millions of iPhones unable to tap Siri’s new link to OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

It’s important to note that the workarounds here aren’t the same as the new iOS 26 Shortcut actions. Those are built-in to Apple Intelligence and only work on supported hardware. These earlier methods work on any iPhone running iOS 18.
