London Welcomes Eminem Fan Doc To New SXSW Festival

For the first time, the Austin based SXSW Festival is heading to London! The first wave of film programming was just announced and fans are raving over the possibility of appearances by Eminem, Tom Hiddleston, Orlando Bloom and more!
SXSW London Welcomes Films Featuring Eminem, Tom Hiddleston and More
The opening night film at SXSW London is STANS. A deep exploration of the relationship between artist and fanbase, STANS features input from some of Eminem’s closest collaborators and most notorious fans. The documentary gives audiences unique insight into the song that changed fandom forever, as well as the entertainer behind it. The world premiere will take place on June 2.

The Life of Chuck has been chosen as the closing night film. Directed by Mike Flanagan and starring Tom Hiddleston, this film is a life-affirming, genre-bending story based on Stephen King’s novella about three chapters in the life of an ordinary man named Charles Krantz. It will screen on June 7, wrapping up SXSW London’s inaugural Screen Festival.
Speaking of Stephen King, the festival will also feature the world premiere of MGM+’s Stephen King adaptation of The Institute. Starring Mary-Louise Parker, Ben Barnes and Joe Freeman, the story takes place in a facility full of children possessing unusual abilities.

And that’s not all. The program’s centerpiece headliner is Deep Cover. The fast-paced action comedy stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom and Nick Mohammed as a group of amateur improv comics embroiled in London’s criminal underworld.
SXSW London takes place in Shoreditch from June 2 through 7. Get full details on these films and more here.
