Louis Vuitton Launches La Beauté Makeup Collection with Pat McGrath
Louis Vuitton is officially entering the beauty market with the launch of La Beauté Louis Vuitton.
The collection includes 55 lipsticks, tinted balms, and eight eyeshadow palettes, all designed to reflect the brand’s long-standing dedication to luxury and craftsmanship.
The creative direction is led by legendary makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath, who brings her expertise in both runway makeup and product development. McGrath personally crafted and selected each shade, ensuring that the line combines high performance with artistic design while staying true to Louis Vuitton’s commitment to excellence.
At the center of the collection is LV Rouge, the lipstick range that pays homage to the brand’s initials and their corresponding Roman numeral. The 55 shades are divided between satin and matte finishes.
Highlights include 896 Monogram Rouge, a fusion of Louis Vuitton’s classic Monogram canvas tones with red, and 854 Rouge Louis, a bold scarlet representing the house’s spirit of individuality.
Each lipstick is made with an 85% skincare base, including hyaluronic acid, shea butter, and waxes from upcycled rose, jasmine, and mimosa flowers. The cost is $160 for a case and refill, with additional refills available at $69.
The LV Baume collection offers ten tinted balms that provide buildable color and up to 48 hours of hydration. Like the lipsticks, the balms feature hyaluronic acid and shea butter for a moisturizing effect. The balms carry a fresh scent of raspberry and mint, while the lipsticks feature a floral aroma developed by master perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud.
Each balm case with refill is also priced at $160, with refills at $69. One notable shade is 051 Monogram Touch, described as a sheer interpretation of Monogram Rouge.
La Beauté’s LV Ombres eyeshadow palettes consist of eight compacts, each with four shades ranging from matte to glitter finishes. Every palette includes three neutral shades for everyday wear, paired with one standout color for creating dimension and glamour. The Harmonie 896 Monogram Rouge palette incorporates burnished red and rich brown tones inspired by the Louis Vuitton canvas. Each palette with case and refill is priced at $250, with refills available at $92.
Louis Vuitton has also designed accessories to complement the collection. A monogram trunk and other elegant cases are available to store the lipsticks and palettes, turning functional storage into a statement of luxury.
Digital preorders for La Beauté Louis Vuitton begin August 25th on the brand’s official website, with the full collection available globally starting August 29th.
