On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my best wishes to the Namibian people as they celebrate the 35th anniversary of their independence.
Today is a moment to celebrate Namibia’s past and, specifically, your nation’s hard-fought journey to becoming a vibrant, strong, and independent democracy. March 21st – and the concurrent inauguration of a new Administration – is also an occasion to celebrate Namibia’s bright future, one built on opportunity, prosperity, and innovation. The United States’ commitment to partnering with Namibia to achieve this vision remains unwavering.
