Nicki Minaj at Risk of Losing $20M LA Mansion Over Lawsuit
Nicki Minaj’s lavish Los Angeles estate could soon be hitting the auction block.
According to Us Weekly, Nicki Minaj and her husband, Kenneth Petty, are facing serious financial pressure as their $20 million Hidden Hills mansion is now at risk of being sold to cover a debt owed to former security guard Thomas Weidenmuller.
Weidenmuller, who previously worked at one of Minaj’s concerts in Germany, was awarded $503,000 in a lawsuit over an alleged assault by Petty in 2019. Court documents filed on October 6th reveal that he has now asked the court to order the sale of Minaj’s 11-bedroom, 16-bathroom estate to collect what he is owed.
According to the filing, Minaj purchased the 11,820-square-foot home for $19.5 million in December 2022. Weidenmuller claims the property has enough value to clear its $13.2 million mortgage, a $722,000 homestead exemption, and still leave $6 million in equity.
“The property’s current fair market value is appraised at $20 million, yielding approximately $6 million in equity beyond the lien and exemption,” Weidenmuller stated. “That amount is more than sufficient to satisfy the judgment, plus accrued interest and enforcement costs.”
His attorney noted that while forcing a home sale is a drastic measure, it has become necessary due to Minaj’s refusal to pay despite repeated requests.
“Minaj is a global music superstar… There is little doubt she is capable of paying the judgment in full, and yet she has refused to do so,” the lawyer said.
Weidenmuller insists he should not have to wait any longer to collect the funds, claiming the situation is entirely due to Minaj and Petty’s inaction.
