NLE CHOPPA ISSUES APOLOGY TO THE MOTHER OF HIS SON

NLE Choppa took to Instagram this Valentine’s Day to offer a public apology to the mother of his son, Marissa Da’Nae. The rapper’s message wasn’t just about him—it was about doing right by his son, Chozen, and making amends for past mistakes.

Sharing a video for his song “Crescent Moon,” Choppa began with a sincere apology: “Dear @mxrvssa ,This is my letter of accountability to you, me writing my wrongs, and standing up as a man. I apologize for any pain I’ve caused. It may feel long overdue, but I feel today was divine to get this message to you! You’re not crazy, nor delusional, your feelings are valid, and will forever be heard even when you think they aren’t.”

Choppa continued, expressing his desire to set an example for their son. “I want to exemplify what being liable is, I want to encourage men around the world to make things righteous, so God bless you for unconsciously being a teacher in my life. A boy transitioning to a man is a dense transformation but to be an example for our son is a rewarding commodity.”

Later in the week, Choppa shared more thoughts about the public misunderstandings surrounding his relationship with Marissa. In a post featuring photos of him and Chozen, he took responsibility for not correcting false narratives about their relationship sooner.

He wrote, “We both equally came into parenthood wanting this angel to grace earth ! You was embarrassed publicly so my apologies are public ! Me and you knows nothing was accidental about this kid which led to hesitation in clearing the air, but never again !”

Choppa also acknowledged that parenting with Marissa hasn’t always been easy, but he wouldn’t change a thing. “Sharing parenthood with you may not be easy, but it’s damn sho worth it. Wouldn’t do one thing over, I swear.”
