‘Nobody’s ever done it’: Kiss’ Gene Simmons speaks out after charging fans K to be his ‘personal assistant and band roadie for the day’

KISS rocker Gene Simmons has spoken out after raising eyebrows for the hefty amount he’s charging fans to be his ”personal assistant and band roadie for the day”.

For the opportunity, it’ll cost die-hard fans a cool $US12,495 – approximately $19,800.

Of the experience, he told The New York Post: ”I decided, ‘You know what, nobody’s ever done it.”

The 75-year-old explained when he used to go to shows as a “kid” he always wondered what it was like behind the scenes, so thinks it’s a good opportunity for fans.

“Why not open the idea to be my personal roadie for the day?'” he said.

“What’s it like when the stage is set up? What’s it like being onstage when they’re performing and seeing the audience from the stage?'”

The fan experience was listed on his genesimmonsaxe website, and includes having a meal with Simmons, getting a T-shirt and hat, getting to watch soundcheck and photos throughout the day ahead of one of his shows with his band, the Gene Simmons Band.

Another cool perk, if you’re willing to splash the cash, is that you can take a guest with you, and Simmons will introduce you on stage during the show.

But you will have to purchase your own ticket for the show separately.

Other experiences offered by the star, who has a reported net worth of $US400million or $635million, include a meet and greet and a bass for $US6,500 or $10,300.

Legends of the music world, then and now

It was reported two years ago that the rocker, who had a reality show in the 2000s with his family called Gene Simmons Family Jewels, fell ill on stage during a show two years ago.

But like a pro, after the Brazil show was paused, he carried on by sitting on a chair and playing guitar.
