Nominations are open for the 2026 Fed100 awards
Nominations for the 2026 Federal 100 awards are open, and we want to hear from you about the people who have gone above and beyond in advancing government IT work.
In a year of unprecedented change — a new administration, widespread agency restructuring and a reimagining of how the business of government is accomplished — it is more important than ever to honor those federal employees, contractors, academics and more who have made a difference in the technology space.
This will be the 37th year of the Federal 100 awards, which honor individuals who have gone far beyond the letter of their job descriptions in the past year to achieve remarkable impacts for government agencies and the American people.
Those nominated for this award showcase a range of important work being done throughout the community, and there are always far more outstanding individuals than a list of 100 can accommodate.
But it all starts with you, our readers. If you know people you believe should be among the 2025 Federal 100, please make sure our judges know about them too. Not certain what it takes to make the Federal 100? Here are five points to remember:
- Anyone in the federal IT community is eligible: career civil servants, political appointees, contractors, academics and members of Congress.
- The awards are for individual accomplishments in the 2025 calendar year.
- Winners go above and beyond, whatever their level or rank. A fancy job title is not required, and just doing one’s job well is not enough.
- Impact matters. Tell us what a nominee did and what that work accomplished.
- You can submit multiple nominations. Please do so early and often.
