Pusha T and No Malice Speak on Criticizing Other Rappers
Pusha T and No Malice are putting rumors to rest that their recent comments about Kanye West and Travis Scott were part of a plan to promote their Grammy-nominated album Let God Sort ’Em Out.
Some fans suggested the brothers were using controversy to generate clout, but both insist that isn’t the case.
During an interview with GQ, Malice said, “No, we don’t play that. People think we do, but we don’t. We don’t snitch and we don’t tell. Standing on it. Say what I had to say, and that’s it. Yeah, but look who’s saying that. Because on the other end of that spectrum, there are people who really see clearly that Pusha don’t lean on that kind of stuff. And look how long he sat on what has been going on. But that’s what they do on the other side. So they think that we play that over here, but nah, we don’t.”
Pusha T echoed his brother, emphasizing that honesty isn’t provocation, it’s principle.
“You can’t let the journalism be a main focus of the rollout and you tiptoe around shit. I wasn’t going to come in and give you scenarios, and be tiptoeing around the stories. I’ll take the criticism, it’s fine. But never call me a liar. Because I never lie. I never lie. Lemme tell you something: I think lying’s for bitches. If you lie about shit, that’s because you’re scared of something, and I’m not scared of anything or anybody. So what I say is what I say.”
The comments come amid ongoing scrutiny of Pusha’s relationships with former collaborators. He publicly distanced himself from Kanye West after Ye’s controversial statements and made remarks about artists who chase hype over legacy, which many fans linked to Travis Scott’s Utopia rollout.
Despite the media buzz, the brothers say their goal isn’t clout but integrity. “We stand on what we say,” No Malice added. “It’s not for headlines, it’s for truth.”
For Pusha T and No Malice, speaking openly about the industry is about principle, not promotion.
I asked Pusha about *certain* *people* saying he was just airing grievances to gas the rollout the last time we linked, and it was actually Malice who got more fired up lmao https://t.co/MriI6kN6Ai pic.twitter.com/ycWlYKlfof
