Taraji P. Henson & Joey Bada$$ Lead Netflix Faith Drama “Tis So Sweet”

Hollywood veteran Taraji P. Henson and rapper‑turned‑actor Joey Bada$$ are the newest leads in the upcoming faith‑inspired feature “Tis So Sweet,” the second film under the collaboration between producers DeVon Franklin and Tyler Perry for Netflix.
The story is based on the real‑life journey of bakery owner Lenore Lindsey, whose miracle discovery in Chicago became an online sensation in November 2024. The film charts Lindsey’s path to reclaiming lost time, healing old wounds, and unearthing unexpected purpose. Behind the camera, Tasha Smith is directing from a script by Randy Brown. Franklin and Perry serve as producers, with additional executive producers including Tony Strickland and Angi Bones for Tyler Perry Studios.
Henson brings an Oscar and Golden Globe pedigree, with standout roles in “Empire” and films such as “Hidden Figures” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button”. She also recently signed a multi‑year first‑look deal with Fox Entertainment Studios. Joey Bada$$ has acted in “Power Book III: Raising Kanan”, “Mr. Robot”, and “Grown‑ish”.
“Tis So Sweet” follows the first Franklin‑Perry Netflix film, “Ruth & Boaz”, which debuted at number two on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Movies List shortly after its September 26 release.
