Texas Lawmaker Proposes Putting Donald Trump on the $100 Bill

A Republican lawmaker is looking to make history. Texas Congressman Brandon Gill has announced plans to introduce a bill that would replace Benjamin Franklin with Donald Trump on the $100 bill once Trump’s term in office concludes.

Gill, who represents Texas’ 26th Congressional District, believes the redesign would be a fitting tribute to the former president. Speaking to Fox News Digital, Gill said, “President Trump could be enjoying his golden years golfing and spending time with his family. Instead, he took a bullet for this country and is now working overtime to secure our border, fix our uneven trade relationship with the rest of the world, make America energy independent again, and put America first by ending useless foreign aid.”

The proposal is part of an ongoing effort by conservative lawmakers to honor Trump’s legacy. Just last week, South Carolina Representative Joe Wilson introduced a separate bill to feature Trump’s face on a newly created $250 note, with support from three other House conservatives.
