You might not recognise this Aussie actor’s name or face right now, but come the end of 2026, you very likely will.

Joseph Zada made global headlines when he snapped up the coveted role of Haymitch Abernathy in the next instalment in the Hunger Games film franchise, Sunrise on the Reaping.

The movie, based on the recent book of the same name, is already highly anticipated, with fellow cast members including Elle Fanning and Ralph Fiennes.

Zada is among the stars at the Tribeca Film Festival, attending the premiere of his movie We Were Liars on June 10.
