Tulsi Gabbard Calls for Obama to Be Prosecuted Over Trump Election Probe

National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard is making waves after calling for former President Barack Obama and several senior national security officials from his administration to face prosecution, accusing them of engaging in what she describes as a “treasonous conspiracy” tied to Donald Trump’s 2016 election win.

Speaking on Friday, July 18, following the release of a newly declassified intelligence report, Gabbard alleged that Obama-era officials deliberately “manipulated and withheld” intelligence regarding Russian interference in the 2016 race. She claims their actions were part of a broader effort to undermine Trump’s victory and fuel claims that his win was illegitimate.

According to Gabbard, the officials “laid the groundwork for a years-long coup” by using unreliable intelligence, including the controversial Steele dossier, to suggest Russia had influenced the election outcome. She says the documents her office declassified indicate post-election assessments did not match earlier findings, which suggested Russia was not actively trying to interfere.

“This was a conspiracy at the highest levels of our government to subvert the will of the American people,” Gabbard stated. “Every person involved must be investigated and prosecuted so that nothing like this ever happens again.”

Gabbard confirmed she has handed over documents to the Department of Justice to back her claims, including partially redacted Obama-era intelligence assessments and memos from former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper’s office.

Neither Barack Obama nor any former officials named in Gabbard’s claims have publicly responded.
